Group Buy 2KW Class-H Amplifier

how is possible o/p 2kw with only 6 pair of transistors with single pcb ? please explain If don't mind.
Thanks

Yes 2000W is not a Joke, But I got 1800W @ 2 Ohms since my transformer is 40-0-40 x2

If you rais voltage to 55-0-55 x2 you will get 2KW for sure.

Whats the relation between single sidded PCB and 2KW?

12 Transistors are good for 1800W amplifier but HEAT also is a lot at 1800W, Heat sink is 37CM x12 CM *in my application*

Thanks

Output devices

And What about output stage? Can you tell me which transistors are there?

@ Jakub_G, transistors used is 2SA1943 and 2SC5200, Also you can use other transistors like MJL21196, MJL21194, but compensation is required when you change output devices

Just six pairs of output transistors for 2kW? That must be some kind of joke. If you use efficient transistors like MJL21195/96 six pairs is not enough too. Can you calculate the current which flows over one transistor in full power into 2 ohms? Output devices are surely out of SOA....

The 1800 Watts is impossible with a 40-0-40 toroid or even 50-0-50. This amp is H class. it requires at least +120 +80 -0- -80 -120 .... +high +low grnd -low -high

This amp also requires a control board and a pre-amp with housekeeping circuits and ALSO a Input board and Power Supply board

Minimum power 85-50-0-50-85 per board.

WITH dual high-low power you get enough current to increase output to at least 1.5K - but nothing matters without a control pcb AND pre-amp pcb

ooops, I am sorry I was talking not rectified, AC!!

I had 53V RMS at 2 Ohms from that transformer witch is

+120 -0- -120 +60 -0- -60

Also you are free to buy a PCB or not!

This is an amplifier for audio

Thanks

This is opposite of required I think.

You can make other designs made by some one called workhorse at ********,

And you will be happy with them for sure

I told you the results I had, and I will show some pictures soon.

Talking about control board and a pre-amp with housekeeping circuits, is useless, because amplifier works perfectly without them. since you gave no info what those circuits are any way

Please dont copy from others

I do know what I am talking about. There is even IN YOUR PICTURE a place for connection to a display/control PCB. Without that connection there is no way to control the volume, receive clipping feedback, etc. I have a PCB for this design but since you have never posted the schematics, listed the parts, or given any information to complete it, there is no way to finish the control PCB. Power PCB and I/O are done and easy. But the pre-amp PCB with housekeeping on it also connects to the control/display PCB LABELED on the AMP PICTURE.

Connection should go .... Pre - Control - Amp .... with the amp also providing feedback to the display/control PCB.

There is no way to control the volume without the display/control PCB LISTED on the AMPLIFIER PCB.

That is not a question. That is a fact.

I am copying no one. I am looking at your pictures. I see the results of the SPICE files.

YOU said that it is not finished AFTER you posted the SPICE pictures, so all of the results MUST be from SPICE.... Then you said you are almost finished... Now you say I can buy or not buy... But you still say the PCB is not printed or tested.

If it works, post the schematic with the parts listed. I can draw a schematic in 10 different programs and make a picture with lines and no parts. A schematic with no parts listed is useless. If you are selling this, great, then sell it. And to build it we will need a BOM, a schematic with all of the parts listed, and gerber files for the control/display board. I think you should also post the gerber files for the Pre-Amp PCB, because that is VERY important too. What voltages does the amplifier accept for signal? what is the voltage gain? what is the housekeeping circuit for non-output stage transistors coming from?

I can also make the same picture you posted in Altium 3D. It looks exactly like the one you posted. The SPICE graphs look exactly the same too.

I do not care if you make money from selling the AMP, I just don't understand why you don't post the files and information if you are selling the amp?

I dont know that you are talking about the Display board, I am sorry

Also Posting those files will not be helpful without the right PCB design, Please I am making some living from this project

I have no desire to print PCBs, and it is getting harder and harder to get toroids big enough for a large amp. I don't want a "Total DIY" - I want a DIY kit that I get the PCB and then I buy the parts and assemble. That is all. But, because I am an EE, I like to read and understand the circuits.

My biggest problem is getting the toroid. That is why I am here at the SMPS forum. It seems like it is getting too expensive to DIY for High Power... although it is still good for Hi-Fi.

I am frustrated with this project. I wanted to do it back in december or January - but after finding too many toroids for at least $200, it seems like I should just buy a QSC from our OEM account... even though that is not the fun way.

Dont give up

PCBs are in the process now, I am making a patch, delivery from manufacturer is 20 days.

You can Make SMPS 1500W for this amplifier, at an acceptable cost, check ludo SMPS at forums

I will supply you with PCBs as soon as they get finished

Thank you for intrest!

Hello.

PCBs for this Class-H amplifier is in process.

About 14 Days to deliver, and start shipping.

If I see good feed back from users, we make a new Group Buy!

All those who buy the PCBs, will get the parts list delivered to there Emails, Since I am not looking to see this design copied, I will try my best!
