Hi all, for my first posting i present you, my work on this Quasi's BJT amp. May be this amp is in the wrong section as it is based on BJT output stage... Schmatic is quasi one but with +/-50VDC rail applyed and 3 output BJT pair. I don't use Quasi's board as my output BJT are TO264 packedge so i do my own layout. The casing is not finished yet but the amp is running. It's aware to what Quasi said about it : "it's nmos but better". Mine is runing under mA bias per rail and offset is trim to mV (thanks transistor matching process). The trafo is a 500Va 2x63vac Rcore followed by two 25A rectifier bridge and 4x22.000µf 63V in C-R (0.22ohm)-C configuration.

Idefixes,

Welcome, I am impressed with this assembly!

it would be great if you share you listening experience!

I would like to build it if you share PCB file, and let me know if i need to match transistors!

Thank you

I am not great to translate my listening feelings in french....than imagine in english....

So I have nothing bad to say. What like a lot with this amp is sound great sound stage in every dimensions, good bottom seeting, the ability to détails all sounds and music note, lengs of music note (often music note have no really consistancy and stop rapidly...). For instance Nbip3 is one of the best amp i have opportunity to hear.

You can find attached as PDF layout, schematic, and pcb transfert layout for etching. Output base resistor can be strap, i put 2r2.

Quasi said output BJT don't need to be matched. I had 100x MJL3281A on stock so for me no other way than mesure them. In another way on ebay you can find matched set.

Marc

Is it necessary to match them?

I have some of those MJLs, and many of the 2SA, 2SC
